Neil Gardner

Neil is an Earphones Award-winning narrator who reads mainly non-fiction titles for Audible, Penguin, SPCK and Spokenworld Audio. His vocal style is suited to scientific, health, history and factual titles. He has also voiced children's titles, as well as character-based audiobooks.  All titles are recorded at his Ladbroke Audio studios, and edited by the same team that works on titles for publishing clients.

Neil has also voiced characters for computer games, as well as BBC radio dramas. He has voiced commercials and corporate audio productions, as well as in-flight and in-train announcements.

Neil is the Owner/MD of the award-winning UK audiobook production house Ladbroke Audio Ltd, based in Croydon, just south of London. He produces audiobook titles for the BBC, Audible, PRH, Little Brown, WF Howes, SPCK, Orion and others. Ladbroke Audio has two professional studios with editing, checking and mastering services available.

 

Neil is a highly experienced and respected producer and engineer, and is often asked to direct audio dramas and create sound design.  He is also the founder of the Audiobook Creators Alliance, a former Chair of AudioUK, and former board member of the Radio Academy and Gateway School of Audio.
